1998 "ter fögi ische souhung" was made into a film by marcel gisler, "f. est un salaud". it received the swiss film prize.

"blind" and "yadgar-e-'aziz" are two novellas about a blind boy in lucknow, india, both written in standard german pretending to be translations from modern hindi and literary urdu.
